"Presenta en el anverso la figura del General Manuel Pinto, gobernador de Buenos Aires en 1852. También incluye las ilustraciones de un marino (extremo inferior izquierdo) y una campesina con un haz de mieses (extremo inferior derecho). Reconocido con el símbolo $F, el peso fuerte fue una moneda convertible. La viñeta que muestra un marinero es un tema que aparece en varios billetes de la época, como representación de la navegación y el comercio internacional. De manera inusual, la imagen femenina aquí parece tener valor decorativo, pero las mieses incluidas la convierten en alegoría de la agricultura. Al igual que el marinero, sus rasgos y atuendo responden a un modelo característico del Romanticismo europeo y estadounidense. Este fue una de las denominaciones libradas en pesos fuertes por el Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires en 1871, de acuerdo con la ley que autorizaba a las entidades financieras públicas y a varias privadas a emitir papel moneda.
