"Presenta en el anverso la figura del General Manuel Pinto, gobernador de Buenos Aires en 1852. También incluye las ilustraciones de un marino (extremo inferior izquierdo) y una campesina con un haz de mieses (extremo inferior derecho). Reconocido con el símbolo $F, el peso fuerte fue una moneda convertible. La viñeta que muestra un marinero es un tema que aparece en varios billetes de la época, como representación de la navegación y el comercio internacional. De manera inusual, la imagen femenina aquí parece tener valor decorativo, pero las mieses incluidas la convierten en alegoría de la agricultura. Al igual que el marinero, sus rasgos y atuendo responden a un modelo característico del Romanticismo europeo y estadounidense.
